Hours – 35 hours per week, to be worked over a 7 day rota that may include some evenings working until 10pm and weekend work.

Emh are delighted to be working with Blaby District Council at an exciting new development in Whetstone, Leicester, which will be home to our new specialist housing service.

Emh homes Specialist Housing Team provide a range of specialist housing, support, and tenancy sustainment services to meet the needs of vulnerable people.

The role

We are looking for two Project Workers to join a team to help provide support and intensive housing management service at the project and to provide advice and support to the customers living within the scheme.

The ideal candidate

The successful applicants will have excellent communication skills to be able to provide advice, support and intensive housing management services for families.

You will be required to work flexibly in accommodation based and community settings due to the demand of the role and will work as part of a Specialist Housing Team.

This includes working in a diverse & sensitive service to enable the residents maximise their independence, maintain their accommodation, and seek and secure appropriate move on accommodation.

The successful applicants will have a relevant qualifications and demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable people / or be committed to personal development within the workplace and be willing to work towards qualifications.

Good communication skills are essential as well as the ability to deal with possible difficult situations. You will have excellent knowledge of Housing and support related work and be flexible to client’s needs. You will be a people person who can work well on your own initiative.

You will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check for this role, which we will complete for the successful candidate. As the role is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offender’s Act 1974, please can you ensure you detail both spent and unspent convictions on your application form.

Activities Organiser

The role

We are now recruiting Activities Organiser roles for our services in the Derbyshire Dales, based in Matlock and Bakewell, helping us provide high standards of care and support for service users with a learning disability and/ or autism, in line with care and support plans and the organisation’s policies and procedures.

The Activities Organiser role will involve facilitating/ supporting a wide range of activities and experiences with people, promoting individual rights and personal dignity, while providing people with every opportunity for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual development.

Applicants will be able to work 30 hours per week, between 8.30 am and 4pm weekdays.

The ideal candidate

The successful candidate will be an effective communicator with good administrative and organisational skills. Experience in providing practical support and training to people and experience working with adults with learning difficulties and/or autism would be advantageous. But most of all we want to hear from people that a curious about people and want to help connect them with the things they love doing.
