The emh group apprenticeship programme was established in 2012 to provide apprenticeship opportunities for local young people. Since then it has flourished to include new recruits aged in their twenties and thirties, demonstrating that apprenticeships are not just an alternative to university for school leavers but are also available for people looking to switch to a more fulfilling career.
Our most recent intake included nine apprentices in our Property Services and Grounds Maintenance teams and seven office-based apprentices located across a range of service areas from Human Resources and Learning & Development to Development and Housing.
Since the inception of the programme we have taken on around 45 apprentices, and have pledged to recruit a total of 250 by 2023.
We recognise that the workforce of tomorrow depends on us identifying and investing in talent today, and the academy is a key part of our commitment.
All our apprenticeship vacancies are advertised on the government website.
