We are currently looking to recruit non-executive members to the emh group Board.
emh group is one of the largest providers of affordable housing in the Midlands. We manage nearly 20,000 properties, employ over 1,100 people, and have an annual turnover of £103 million. emh group includes emh homes, a housing association registered with the Regulator of Social Housing, and emh care & support, a significant care and support business.
At emh group we believe that strong governance underpins the success of everything we do. We are looking for new Board members with a diverse range of skills, experience and outlooks to help ensure that we continue to follow our values and achieve our vision to be the best housing and care business in the country.

Remuneration: c£7k per annum
Our Group Board takes a lead on setting the values and strategic direction of the organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future success of one of the leading social housing providers in the Midlands. We particularly wish to hear from people with expertise and strategic leadership skills, but specifically welcome the following skills:
- Customer Services
- Audit & Risk Management
- Health & Wellbeing
- Organisational Development/HR
- Development and Construction
Successful candidates will be required to dedicate at least two days a month to attend board meetings, occasional training sessions and away days. Members may also be invited to join operating Boards and committees in the group.
Personal information may be used in a number of ways, for example:
- Payment for Board member services
- “Know your Customer” checks (these are details that are already provided to us that the banks may request as part of your role as a Board Member)
- Expenses payments
We may share your information with the relevant banks and credit rating agency.
To help prevent fraud, we will not disclose any information to any company outside of emh group, except for the exceptions stated above, or if required to do so by law.
Information will be retained for the duration of your Board membership and for a further six years once your membership has ceased, in line with the NHF Document Retention Guide.
