It is our vision to be widely recognised as the best social housing and care business in the country, leading the market as service provider and employer.

To see how we are currently living up to this ambition, we commissioned an independent, confidential stakeholder survey to be carried out between July and August 2016.

The survey had 32 participants, including partners, local authority members, lenders, MPs, developers and other housing associations.

From this survey, we discovered that our stakeholders see us as ‘open’, a ‘good partner’, and that we are ‘committed to our core geography and local communities’. We were also told that we provide ‘solid, all-round delivery’ and that we have ‘high-quality people and profile’.

Of those asked, 83% praised our people and said that we were a good partner; 89% are satisfied with the relationship they have with us and 90% of our stakeholders agree that: “I trust emh group to do what it says it will”.

Some parts of our organisation were even classed as outstanding, including our people and culture, developments, activity beyond the core housing role and restructuring.

We know that there is always room to improve, and our stakeholders fed back to us that they would like to see a higher national profile, which we will aim to address. They also commented that, like many providers affected by the current climate, our future activity should aim to develop our capacity, agility and efficiency.

Group chief executive, Chan Kataria, said: “The results from our stakeholder survey demonstrate that it is the people who make emh group such a special place. It is their dedication and hard work that keeps our tenants happy and engaged and our partnerships strong.”
