Social housing regulator awards emh group top rating

The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) has awarded emh group its highest possible rating.

Published this month, the report from the RSH gives the organisation a G1 rating for Governance and a V1 rating for Viability. This means that the Leicestershire-based group is compliant with all its governance responsibilities and has the capacity to deal with a range of financial pressures should they arise.

The report follows an In Depth Assessment (IDA) conducted over recent months and which involved detailed scrutiny of documents, processes, the analysis of data and interviews with the Executive Management Team and Board members.

Confirming the G1/V1 rating from the previous inspection in November 2016, the report highlights that emh group has in place the strongest governance assurance framework.

Chan Kataria, emh group Chief Executive, said: “This is a reflection of the quality of our governance and leadership as well as our financial strength. It provides a good platform for us to continue to provide high quality housing and care services in the East Midlands.”

The report can be downloaded from the Government website.
